Laika is excited to introduce the new Kosmo CamperVans, a range of remarkably versatile, compact models with a distinctive design all perfectly equipped for outdoor adventures.
Offered as standard on a Fiat Ducato 35 Light (140 hp) base and with a length of 541 and 599 cm, respectively, the new Kosmo CamperVans follow the styling cues of the Kosmo low-profile and motorhome models, created in collaboration with GFG Style, the famous design studio that put its stamp on the distinctive character of the new-generation Kosmo vehicles.
The exteriors of the new Kosmo CamperVans have a sophisticated and functional design that expresses the unmistakable identity of the Kosmo family. Essential and distinctive elements, like matt black graphics and accessories, chrome logos, and the Italian flag emblem on the rear-view mirrors, enhance the Kosmo CVs’ Italian flair.
Kosmo CVs can be customised externally and are available in an array of colours. Customers can choose from White (standard), Artense Metallised Grey, Metallised Black, Expedition Grey and Lanzarote Grey (optional), all with stand-out Kosmo-style Nero Matt graphics.
The body of the Kosmo CamperVans is designed with total insulation of all parts of the living pod for optimal temperature all year round.
The roof and floor are lined with high-density XPS extruded polystyrene foam, while the doors and walls have a washable plastic interior lining. The ceiling is finished with padded technical fabric for superior comfort and a pleasant temperature at all times.
Standard equipment on Kosmo CamperVans includes a 4 kW Truma Combi 4 heating system, which in combination with the CP-Plus digital control panel, conveys warm air throughout the vehicle, including the garage and the cab.
The contrasting colours and contemporary design amplify the space on board and add character to every detail. The Stone Grey & Forest Green interiors reflect the unique style of the Kosmo range, with Fenix surfaces in the kitchen, table and toilet areas. The practical cabinets are provided with a handy push-pull system for storing all kitchen utensils.
Natural light is one of its strengths. The Kosmo CV has a large panoramic skylight in the lounge area and windows running along the entire vehicle. Two symmetrical front windows illuminate the lounge and kitchen area. One window is dedicated to the toilet and two serve the rear area. In this way, all areas are flooded with natural light and efficient air exchange is ensured at all times. For expanding views even further, the Skyview (opt) can be integrated in the cab top for an immersive and panoramic on-board experience.
Rest is assured in the sleeping area by the transverse bed with a wooden slatted frame and “Ergonomy” mattress. Offered as standard with two sleeping berths, the Kosmo CamperVans can accommodate up to five people with the addition of the folding roof (opt) and a third bed in the dinette (opt) to share the travel experience with friends and family while maintaining all Laika’s trademark comfort and flexibility.
The rear area is completed by glossy wall units along the three upper sides of the bed, while a practical wardrobe with a pull-out rail provides all the space you need to keep the area organised and clutter-free.
The two layouts offer different solutions to the same needs. The two main differences are the kitchen area and the toilet area.
More in detail, the Kosmo 50 fits a Compact kitchen, while the Kosmo 60 has a Comfort kitchen. Both are equipped with a 2-burner hob, a stainless-steel sink and soft-close drawers adding a touch of sophistication and practicality.A 70-litre refrigerator located at the front of the Compact kitchen on the Kosmo 50 has a two-sided door opening allowing use from both inside and outside the vehicle.
A tempered glass cover on the kitchen worktop maximises the use of surfaces, while the multifunctional wall rails allow the area to be configured as needed.
The Comfort kitchen of the Kosmo 60, on the other hand, has a longer layout and is packed with more solutions. For instance, the functional folding shelf at the side of the kitchen worktop is easy to operate and provides a convenient extra work surface. There are two open shelves in the entrance area with ridged edging to prevent things from falling off and integrated LED lighting, which can be used as a handy catch-all. A further special feature is the sink, which in the Comfort kitchen comes complete with a single-lever tap and a multifunctional cover that doubles as a chopping board.
There are various solutions for the toilet of the Kosmo CamperVans according to the model, all of which ensure practical comfort in the daily routine on the road.
The Kosmo 50 has a Compact bathroom with a window and shower that can also be used from the outside, while the Kosmo 60 has a Vario bathroom with a large separable shower.
Both models offer windows and portholes for optimal ventilation and lighting, as well as practical storage compartments for personal belongings.
