The two new vans are equipped with plenty of equipment to combine the trademark Laika style with the dynamism of a van. Built on Fiat Ducato 115 HP chassis, the new Kosmo camper vans are available in two lengths. The Kosmo 5.4 is 541 cm long and the Kosmo 6.0 is 599 cm long. Both have approved capacity of four and offer two sleeps as standard (the third sleep is optional).
The exterior look with designer graphics is modern and dynamic, on both the white (standard) or the silver (optional) bodywork. The smart attitude is emphasised by a glossy black grille with chrome inserts and black headlight bezels. The windows are high quality, with aluminium frame, blackout protection and fly screen.
Attention to design continues inside with "Tuscan Pear Wood" furniture and "Alba" upholstery that perfectly complement the glossy white cabinet doors. Maximum comfort in the dinette with height-adjustable headrests and ergonomic cushions with removable lining. The 40x40 porthole makes the living area bright and airy.
In the kitchen, the worktop is scratch-proof and fingerprint resistant. The additional foldable worktop (available only for the Kosmo 5.4) allows extra room for comfortable cooking, also courtesy of the multi-purpose chopping board/sink cover.
In the sleeping area, the double bed with wooden slats measures 195x133 max./130 min. on the Kosmo 5.4, and 195x157 max./150 min. on the Kosmo 6.0. The mattress of the bed rear has a stretchy machine-washable cover for easy cleaning. The sleeping area also features adjustable reading lights to end the day with a good read.
Driving quality in the cab is ensured by very comfortable armchairs with headrest, two armrests and inclining backrest matching the upholstery of the dinette. There is plenty of attention to safety, with standard airbags for driver and passenger, ESP, Traction+, Hill Holder and Hill Descent as standard and child restraint system (optional). Diesel heating is standard on both models.
A pack of accessories particularly rich and affordable is available for the Kosmo van, too.

From July 8 to 19, a Laika Kosmo 512 turns into the "Motorhome of the Arts" to put culture on the road with ten itinerant lessons open to everyone in the squares of Florence and outside the city. The protagonist of the evenings will be the celebrated Tuscan genius Leonardo Da Vinci, in the 500th anniversary of his death.
The historical Ecovip range renews to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Laika. This range, launched in 1992, is the longest lasting in Laika, and for many years has accompanied Italian families on holiday, and not only. What better range then, to celebrate this important stage of Laika history?
