The difference between a Camper Van and a traditional motorhome comes down to size, versatility, and everyday usability. A Camper Van is typically more compact, easier to drive, and simpler to park in urban areas. A traditional motorhome usually offers more living space, larger storage areas, and additional onboard comfort features.

2 Can Laika campervans be driven on a B licence?

Laika Camper Vans can typically be driven with a standard Category B driving licence when the maximum authorised mass does not exceed 3.5 tonnes. Selected models, including the Ecovip Performance 600, 645 and Ecovip Evoluzione 600, offer an optional increase to 4,250 kg. The permissible vehicle weight may also be affected by the chosen optional equipment and configuration.

3 How fuel-efficient are Laika campervans?

The fuel efficiency of Laika Camper Vans benefits from their compact dimensions and streamlined design. Compared with larger motorhomes, Camper Vans often consume less fuel during everyday journeys and long-distance travel. 5 How long is a Laika campervan?

Laika Camper Vans are available in lengths ranging from 540 cm to 636 cm, offering options for different travel styles and space requirements. Ecovip Performance are available in 540 cm, 599 cm and 636 cm versions, while the Ecovip Evoluzione present 540 cm and 599 cm lengths.

6 Can the interior layout be personalised?

Laika offers a range of Camper Van layouts designed to suit different travel styles. Depending on the model, customers can choose configurations with features such as a larger kitchen area or a rear lounge seating arrangement, available in the Ecovip Performance 645. Interior finishes and equipment options vary by model and market.

7 What is the Laika warranty?

The Laika warranty includes a 24-month manufacturer’s warranty, providing added peace of mind after purchase. All models also benefit from a 10-year water ingress warranty for the body structure, subject to the required maintenance and inspection schedule. In addition, Laika supports owners through an extensive network of authorised service partners and professional technicians across multiple countries.

* The specified mass in running order is a default value defined in the type-approval procedure. Due to manufacturing tolerances, the actual weighed mass in running order may deviate from the value stated above. Deviations of up to ± 5 % of the mass in running order are legally permissible and possible. The permissible range in kilograms is given in brackets after the mass in running order. The manufacturer-specified mass for optional equipment is a calculated value for each type and layout that LAIKA uses to determine the maximum weight available for factory-fitted optional equipment. The limitation of optional equipment is intended to ensure that the minimum pay-mass, i.e. the legally prescribed free mass for baggage and retrofitted accessories, is actually available for the vehicle delivered by LAIKA. The real weight of your vehicle ex works can only be determined when it is weighed at the end of the line. If, in exceptional cases, the weighing shows that the actual load capacity falls below the minimum pay-mass despite limiting the optional equipment due to a permissible weight deviation, we will check together with your trade partner and you whether we should, for example, increase the load capacity of the vehicle, reduce the number of seats or remove optional equipment before delivering the vehicle. The technically permissible maximum laden mass of the vehicle and the technically permissible maximum mass on the axle must not be exceeded.
