Tavarnelle, February 2010 – LAIKA is offering new home concepts to motorhome enthusiasts in the high/middle segment of the market. The two new models, X 610r and X 715r, were developed following home-type concepts, normally not used in the motorcaravanning sector. The X 715r embodies the concept of a real home living-room, bearing a VIP-LOUNGE with a true maxi-sized living-room chair and with all the elements which you may find in a home living-room. The X 610r offers the utmost night comfort thanks to an XL-bed (160 cm width).
Thanks to the introduction of these two models – which will be on show on the premises of Laika dealers starting in March 2010 - LAIKA can offer to its customers an extremely wide variety of low-profiles with drop-down bed. Those who are interested in this type of vehicle will be able to choose among TWELVE different layouts and models, on two different product ranges (eight models in the X range and four models in the Kreos range). It will therefore be almost impossible not to find your ideal Laika low-profile with drop-down bed. LAIKA thus becomes a specialist for low-profiles with drop-down bed. The variety to choose from does not only apply to the number of different layouts: on Laika low-profiles you can also choose the drop-down bed version you prefer. You may choose the Heavy Duty version or the Light Duty version, according to the frequency of use you make of the drop-down bed itself. Laika drop-down beds combine multiple advantages: up to 185 cm standing height when the bed is not in use, an electrical system which makes it possible to place the bed at any height, an additional manual system in case of lack of electricity, the possibility to watch TV even lying on the drop-down bed, the contemporary use of the ground-floor bed and the kitchen, even when the drop-down bed is in use. Furthermore, for your safety, all Laika drop-down beds allow total use of the entrance door, even when they are lowered.
X 715R
The new X 715r is 7.36 mt long and is built on a Fiat Ducato 35 (or 40) chassis. Its layout is extremely innovative in the living-room area. In the back you have an electrically adjustable double bed (optional), which allows you to change the height of the bed any time. The toilet is on one side and the shower is opposite. A practical separation door makes it possible to separate the night area from the living-room and the kitchen.
On the X 715r LAIKA has put into practice the principle of A TRUE LIVING-ROOM, LIKE AT HOME. The living room of this motorcaravan is a real home VIP-LOUNGE with an L-shaped lounge (optional version), a maxi-sized living-room chair with ergonomic backrest and integrated armrests, a TV-cabinet in front of the couch, like at home. A book shelf with integrated mirror and blue LED lighting give an elegant touch to the living-room. The high versatility of the X 715r is increased by the Sofa Extension System which allows you to have one more table seat or to simply sit more comfortably. Its versatility is also increased by the 140 cm large electric drop-down bed (option) which allows the X715r to offer up to six berths (5 adults + one child). Thanks to the drop-down bed LAIKA gives the opportunity to customise your motorcaravan so that you can also have guests on board any time you want, just like at home. LAIKA has always devoted much energy to give extreme brightness to its motorcaravans’ interiors. Following this philosophy, the X 715r is very luminous thanks to two very long windows on both sides of the living room. This new layout offers you much room to freely move inside the vehicle with ease.
The X 715 has been mainly developed for a couple who demands the utmost comfort in the living area, a top habitability level and the possibility of having guests any time.
X610R
Laika presents another innovative model: a little over 6.50 mt, the X 610r is the proof of Laika’s wish to interpret its customers’ desires in terms of home comfort.
The X610r is based on a Fiat Ducato 35 (or 40) chassis and offers an IMPERIAL REAR BED, as wide as your own home bed, 160 cm width and over 200 cm length. Under the bed you find a large and practical wardrobe, accessible also from the top, by simply pulling up the front part of the bed. Besides the wardrobe - which has an automatic light – you also have two big storage compartments under the bed.
Also the living room is large and comfortable thanks to a well-sized lounge and to the cab swivel seats. Also this model – like all other LAIKA low-profiles – has a drop-down bed as an option. This device – together with the Sofa Extension System – allows you to have six berths (four adults + two children) and six table seats. And all this in just 6.59 mt.
Innovation and practicality are combined in the new X 610R which was developed for couples who look for a short vehicle and who want to enjoy much night and day comfort and who need a garage to take a small scooter with them. The garage is equipped with two maxi-sized doors (one on each side), reaching the garage floor level, so as to make loading and unloading very easy.
Both the X 715r and the X 610r feature all the points of strength that are common to all the Laika X range motorcaravans: for example, the extremely efficient insulating effect of Styrofoam walls, the warm air of the Truma C6 heating appliance and the possibility to choose your living room type (a dinette facing the front or an L-shaped lounge).
